The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace has quickly become one of my favorite places to go on the strip. It’s such a beautiful and unique mall with the sky painted ceiling, cobblestone streets, and fountains, and it has a nice mix of really high end stuff to window shop and brands I can actually afford!
Last weekend I went with nine other bloggers and influencers to learn more about the Great Give and visit five of the retailers participating. This is the third annual Great Give at the Forum Shops and it goes from December 1-12. Participating retailers chose a local or national non-profit to partner with and either donate a portion of sales from specific items, a flat percentage of sales or raise funds directly to benefit their partner charity.
Anne Fontaine | Anne Fontaine Foundation
Our first stop was Anne Fontaine where I saw the most stunning clothes ever! For the Great Give all sales from these bracelets and tote bags (made from recycled plastic bottles) go to the Anne Fontaine Foundation.
Donald J Pliner | American Cancer Society
Then, my very favorite high end shoe store – Donald J Pliner. I’ve been to several events here and have two (wait, now three!) amazing pairs of shoes from them. They had the fabulous DJ Miss Joy, and a delicious assortment of treats like the bacon cronut that I devoured! Sarah, the store manager, gave us each a pair of fur platform sandals! So fun! Donald Pliner is partnering with the American Cancer Society and a $20 donation gets you a 50% off coupon to use on anything from their Fall/Winter collection – I can vouch for how amazing their boots are! I got a pair of mens combat boots (sized down twice to a men’s 7) and wear them all the time!
Mulberry | Public Education Foundation
Mulberry has the most gorgeous handmade leather bags. They are a British brand and the royals love them, Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton wear their handbags all the time! Mulberry is donating 15% of sales during the Great Give to the Public Education Foundation. I loved seeing their new Spring 2019 line, the colors are amazing!
Pandora | Opportunity Village
Pandora is one brand I am more familiar with and it was fun seeing all the different bracelet options they have and their incredible collection of charms. They have a gorgeous 2018 ornament and charm inspired by the Radio City Rockettes! Pandora is donating 15% of the sales from all Las Vegas exclusive items to Opportunity Village during the Great Give. They gifted each of us a bracelet with a Las Vegas charm!
Montblanc | St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
Our last stop was Montblanc where we learned about how they were the first to create a portable fountain pen (with a self-filling system instead of being stuck at a desk with an ink bottle). They have expanded to a variety of products but their fountain pens are still their flagship item and they have gorgeous themed pens for men and women, like the Marilyn Monroe pens (the design was inspired by her iconic high-heels, her signature red lipstick, and her love of pearls) and the Beatles pens (the cone and cap are inspired by elements from the mixing table and microphones at the famous Abbey Road studios, and the colorful stripes pay tribute to the costumes they wore on the album covers of ‘Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ and ‘Love Me Do’).
Montblanc is partnering with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and doing a raffle fundraiser with some amazing prizes! They had a representative from St. Jude there to explain the mission of the hospital and tell us about the “no mo chemo” parties they throw when each child finishes that phase of treatment.
We were gifted gorgeous Italian leather notebooks personalized by calligraphy artist Open Ink Stand.
The Palm | UNSHAKEABLE
We ended our day at The Palm where we were ushered into a private dining room by Centurions handing us gifts! Dreams do come true! Haha! Our meal was absolutely delicious and we had a great time. The Palm is partnering with UNSHAKEABLE, an incredible organization that is helping women who have come out of sex trafficking, prostitution, addiction, domestic abuse, and incarceration. They have a 12 week I AM series that teaches a variety of topics including a session titled “Beauty, fashion and feeling good in your own skin” that is co-taught by Christie Moeller, the force behind this event and so many of the fun blogger events I get to attend!
The Palm is asking guests to round up their bill during the Great Give to make a contribution to UNSHAKEABLE and everything raised will then be matched by The Palm!
A huge thank you to The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace for hosting us and more importantly for the amazing Great Give campaign that goes from December 1-12.
